Uvacure Series Inks
HS 23 SERIES
With our
Uvacure series you can be assured of the fastest press speeds
possible while maintaining excellent print definition and adhesion. This
quality system is made at the highest strength possible for brilliant
colour re-production from your finest photopolymer artwork.
Uvacure inks are delivered press ready and are 100% reactive.
This system was developed for sustained press runs on all common
impression cylinder presses and other decorators.
Features
Uvacure inks are formulated to have exceptional
printability, gloss, scuff and chemical resistance with strong vibrant
colours. When properly cured, these inks will exhibit excellent adhesion,
as well as superior resistance to food and chemical products typically
packaged in poly containers. Tacks are optimized at 22 - 24 ( 800 rpm / 1
minute ) for printing on plastic containers.
Available Colours
Uvacure inks are available in the PANTONE®
Basic, Process and Metallic set to achieve the full spectrum of over 1000
PANTONE® colours. Special colours can be matched against prints
or wet samples. All Uvacure inks are produced with safe, non-barium
pigments and comply with heavy metal regulations.
Substrates
This product line is exclusively formulated for plastic containers and
lids molded from polyethylene (PE), polystyrene (PS), polypropylene (PP)
and polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
Special
Applications
The Uvacure series is specifically designed for container
printing. Inks for applications requiring outdoor durability or
promotional beverage cups with premium dishwasher resistance are available
in this system.
Pretreatment
These inks have been formulated to adhere to flame or corona treated
polyolefin containers with a recommended surface energy level of at least
42 dynes/cm2. It is recommended that all substrates be tested before use
as surface energy can vary between different batches of molded containers.
Storage, safety and
handling
Containers should be tightly closed immediately after use. Inks should not
be stored in direct sunlight. In the interest of maximum shelf life,
storage temperatures should be between 50 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit ( 10
to 21 degrees Celsius ). When stored in a cool environment, the inks,
excluding metallics, are expected to have a minimum shelf life of 6 months
from the date of manufacture. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet
(MSDS) for materials and conditions to be avoided, safety, and waste
disposal information.
