Printing Blankets The products on this page are a listing of our primary printing blankets which have been developed specifically for the dry offset cup, tube and lid printing market. We have many other blankets and adhesives available so we can tailor a package to meet your specific application requirements. We also test and develop new products on an ongoing basis in order to offer you the latest and best products for today's market. New Developments! January, 2003 - We have developed a new laminating process which improves the bond of the adhesive tapes to the blanket which eliminates product separation in all applications. September, 2003 - We have a new blanket for high-speed sidewall printing which outlasts any product on the market today called Duratan. Plastoprint This blanket is constructed using a unique open cell polyurethane structure for true compressibility. Application of pressure is taken up by a reduction in void volume within the cell structure. This is particularly useful on irregularly shaped containers, inner ribbed products and tubs with inconsistent wall thickness. It is a proven blanket for cup and pail printers. It's white surface offers ease in set up, as most plate adjustments can be performed on the blanket.
Butyl HH This blanket is manufactured with a butyl rubber compound for optimum resistance to most UV and IR printing inks. The rubber face is harder than the standard butyl with built in heat resistance offering improved wear characteristics at higher speeds with better ink release and print quality. This specially developed blanket will work well on most applications including lid printing. The blanket offers excellent solvent resistance, and is economical to use.
DURATAN "CURRENTLY BEING RE-DESIGNED" This blanket is made from a combination of synthetic rubbers designed to withstand the punishment of high speed cup printing and is tinted a tan colour to help avoid hit marks on the cup. This blanket can be used through multiple job changes with minimal print deterioration. The resiliency of the blanket offers good return in case of a miss feed.
ULTRA-3 This blanket has a hard surface layer which is a blend of two synthetic rubbers providing high solvent and UV ink resistance. The surface is ultra smooth to ensure sharp half tone and dot reproduction and superior release properties. The hard but highly resilient sub-face offers exceptional recovery from miss feeds. This blanket is especially suited to lid and medium speed sidewall printing.
Orange UV This UV resistant blanket is manufactured with a hard EPDM surface to offer excellent print quality as a lid blanket. The surface is ultra smooth to ensure sharp half tone and dot reproduction and superior release properties. The additional compressible layer will reduce damage to the face blanket in the event of a miss feed. The blanket is resistant to UV inks as well as offering good solvent resistance to most blanket washes.
Underlay This blanket is manufactured using a blend of rubber compounds to offer good durability as an underlay blanket. They are produced using the same process as the face blankets to ensure accurate and consistent thickness control. The cotton blend fabric layer provides additional compressibility to reduce damage to the face blanket in the event of a miss feed. The blanket has a hard surface layer offering good solvent resistance to most common blanket washes.
